“Mr Eddie Cross Does Not Speak For The Government And His Views Are Personal” Says The Government
The government has released a press statement dismissing the statement made by economist Eddie Cross that it will introduce a new currency next month.
Eddie Cross pronounced yesterday that Zimbabwe will be introducing a new currency in November however, in a statement last night, Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services secretary Mr Mangwana said the Government has distanced itself from the statement saying that government will announce nation updates on currency reform when necessary.
“We would like to make it clear that Mr E. Cross does not speak for the government of Zimbabwe and his views are personal and indicative of government's policy thrust”, said Mangwana.
