Delta Exempted From The 21 Day Lock Down Designated As Essential Service Provider
Delta Corporation has been exempted from the 21 day lock down after receiving an official letter from the Ministry of Industry and Commerce designating it as an essential service provider yesterday.
When the president issued a state of the nation address on the pandemic he indicated that essential service provides will continue operating during the lockdown.
Delta has been exempted from the 21 day lock down as provided by Statutory Instrument 82 of 2020 Public Health, (Covid-19, Prevention, Containment and Treatment) Ammendment Regulations 2020 (No. 1) and SI 83 of 2020 Public Health (Covid-19 Prevention, Contaimnet and Treatment) National Lockdown) Order 2020 allowing essential service providers to continue operating during the lock down.
The company will be operating with minimum but adequate staff during the lock down as they continue with the provision of providing essential service.
The government has orders all retailers to operate between 09.00 and 15.00 hrs.
