Breaking News: Security Forces On The Streets Of Harare Telling People To Go Back Home To “pray & fast”
Some citizens have reported that People are being turned away from entering Harare CBD town at roadblocks in an unusual manner.
Today is Zimbabwe’s National Day of Prayer and Fasting.
On a normal day, only a few people are denied entry in town but today dozens of people are being returned home.
ZimTrending has learned from savanna news that security forces manning roadblocks are forcing people to stay home and observe the national day of prayer and fasting declared by President ED Mnangagwa.
Team Pachedu, a social media influencer posted, “The police are not allowing people into Harare CBD and they are lying that today is a public holiday. ”
Pedzisai Ruhanya, a prominent journalist posted on Twitter,
“Why are we being blocked from entering CBD.. Harare a no go area today.. WHY WHY WHY?? COMMAND FASTING? REGAI TINODYIRA MUDZIMBA..”
“Please return home, people are not allowed in CBD today”
“Quite difficult to get into town today being turned away so that we can go and pray”
