None Of Our Staff That Deal With Blood Donors Tested Positive For COVID-19- NBSZ

The National Blood Services of Zimbabwe (NBSZ) has said that none of its workers that deal with blood donors tested positive for coronavirus.

The statement is issued after it has emerged on Friday that two individuals at the organization, an employee and one from a service provider had tested positive for the coronavirus. In a social media post, NBSZ said:

None of NBSZ front office staff that deal with blood donors tested positive, However caution is always exercised since our donors come from the community where infections are now emanating from. NBSZ continues to screen & do routine testing of staff whilst emphasizing use of PPE.

NBSZ public affairs manager, Esther Massundah said the duo tested positive following random testing of staff adding that the two who tested positive are self-isolating at home.

She also said the affected work station has been fumigated on Friday adding that NBSZ conducts routine disinfection services on its vehicles and office premises at its 5 branches.
