Harare, Zimbabwe – Motorists were met with a harrowing scene early this morning as bodies lay scattered along Bulawayo Road following a devastating collision between a commuter omnibus and a haulage truck.

The accident occurred near Magetsi when a Greater Harare Association of Commuter Operators (GHACO) kombi, en route to Harare's central business district from Kuwadzana 7, collided with a truck.
According to eyewitnesses, the kombi driver miscalculated a turn and was struck by the oncoming truck, which smashed into the kombi's centre, ejecting passengers through the windows.
Motorists navigating the route had to weave around the lifeless bodies strewn across the road. The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has yet to confirm the exact number of casualties.

Videos circulating on social media show the kombi overturned between the lanes, with members of the public desperately attempting to rescue survivors and retrieve the deceased from the wreckage.
According to TechMag News, the accident claimed at least ten (10) lives. The media added that eyewitness accounts suggest that the kombi driver went through a red robot before being hit by a haulage truck.
