Zinara Introduces Self Service Vehicle & Radio Licensing Machine
The Zimbabwe National Road Administration (ZINARA) has introduced a one-stop-shop self-service vehicle and radio licensing machine for easy for motorists.
The self-service machine was deployed at the Eskbank tollgate along the Harare-Bindura highway on Tuesday and is a product of the partnership between Zinara and GeneInsure, a local insurance company.
Speaking on the newly introduced technology, GeneInsure head of information technology and solutions Mr Constantine Mambariza said:
The machine is a one-stop-shop as motorists can buy both their insurance, vehicle licensing discs, and radio licenses at one spot. The machine works 24/7 and is strategically located at places such as tollgates, shopping malls, service stations, and traditional Zinara licensing sites.
Zinara public relations manager Mr Tendai Mugabe said the service is premised at eliminating queues at licensing sites as motorists can do all the licensing in the comfort of their homes.
He also said that one can visit Zinara’s website and social media pages where they will see a number of partners that are offering online vehicle licensing services.
The development comes when health experts are encouraging the public to stay home, maintaining social distancing to stop the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.Â
