Mthuli Blamed For Mukuru Charges
Too Many Taxes Suffocating Businesses
Alistair Chibanda is now on the Mukuru Story
1/ Stolen….
A) Sending US$450 via Mukuru from Harare to Chipinge you are charged US$23. And the maximum you can send is US$450. That means if I were to send US$1500 I need to pay close to US$100 in Mukuru transfer charges. pic.twitter.com/IhjnCVOfpo— Ali Chibanda (@alistarchibanda) November 1, 2022
Another twimbo says Liquid are also ripping people off.
Y'all crying over Mukuru and Nyaradzo but this is fraud. Liquid Telecoms Geolocked sim, 10gb = ZWL $12616 which is equivalent to $15 using $1 = ZWL $800 rate. Netone Non-Geolocked sim 15gb = USD $10. The rate is stagnant but they keep raising their subscription fees. Madness!!! pic.twitter.com/EYN0m7t48f

Murapa G says World Remit is a better option
Crazy how it becomes efficient to use World Remit then pay through Capitec to send someone in Zimbabwe money when you are also in Zimbabwe than to go and queue for 2 hours at Mukuru.
We are missing too much as a country just to massage a few fools egos— Gift Murapa (@MurapaG) October 27, 2022
Journalist Mduduzi Mathuthu called it “official corruption” and blamed it on Mthuli Ncube.
This is where Mthuli Ncube really needs to hang his head in shame, not Mukuru. It's extortion, double taxation, call it whatever. When it becomes cheaper to deliver money in person, the other processes are exposed for what they are: official corruption https://t.co/Q726wT8kgq

Samkange blames government's Mthulinomics for the disparities.
The author has not done sufficient research on this issue. If he had asked Mukuru to give him a breakdown of the charges he would have realised that a huge chunk of that amount are gvt taxes which do not apply on the UK transfer. https://t.co/2YRtwPXh83
