Government to Set Up Technical High Schools
Schools identified include Allan Wilson, Chinhoyi, Mutare Boys
The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education intends to establish 10 Technical High Schools across the country.
In a letter to stakeholders, MoPSE said the move was in line with the Competence Based Curriculum, CBC which emphasizes the production of pupils with requisite skills, knowledge, national identity, values, attitude and disposations.
The Technical High Schools concept also seeks to bridge the gap between technical education in secondary schools and Technical Vocational Education and Training in higher and tertiary institutions.
10 schools have already been identified namely; Allan Wilson High, Chinhoyi High, Chipindura High, Guinea Fowl High, Hwange High, Mutare Boys High, Mutoko Government, Mwenezi High, Mzingwane High and Luveve High Schools.
