Fuel Prices Increase Again
The Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) released a press statement with new fuel prices effective today, 23 September 2019.
Fuel prices are changing weekly which had become a trend as blend petrol which was at ZWL $10.41 is now $11.55 while diesel is now ZWL $12.08 from $10.89.
ZERA says these increase in fuel prices is due to the FOB (Free On Board) price and the revised customs and exercise tariff that gives legal effect on the product.
“The changes in the fuel prices are due to FOB price movements and revised duty regime “, said ZERA in their statement.
Operators have been advised to sell prices below the cap depending on their trading advantages complying with the required legal pricing.
Zimbabweans are now used to this new tradition of fuel price increases that come into effect every Monday morning.
