Gogo Maweni Trial Date Set | Dr Malinga Buys Merc for Wife
Trial date set for Gogo Maweni in assault case! Popular traditional healer and reality TV star, Makgotso “Gogo Maweni” Mofokeng, will have to wait a little longer before she stands trial in connection with an assault case dating back to 2019.
The case was officially postponed on Tuesday, with the Protea Magistrates Court setting 16 March as the start date for legal proceedings.
Maweni, known for her strong online following and influence in spiritual circles, has remained tight-lipped about the case, but her legal team insists she intends to clear her name.
Maweni was arrested in January 2024 for her alleged involvement in a 2019 assault incident where she is accused of attacking an individual with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

Both State prosecutors and Maweni’s defence team agreed on the new date, confirming that trial bundles, including witness statements, expert reports, and medical records, would be ready for presentation by then.
