Tsekeleke had accused Dr Malinga of exploiting him after the artist helped him to renovate his house.

Instead, of house renovations, Tsekeleke wanted the money for Christmas clothing.

“Tsekeleke is not happy. He’s not talking to me, he's angry that I gave his mum R10 000 from this money,” Dr Malinga said.

Tsekeleke declared he no longer wants any association with Dr Malinga.

“I’m out of his life. He bought beds with my money. It’s fine, he can buy with all my money, buy the beds and everything. What matters is that I want nothing to do with him. I’m out. For people who want to book me, don’t go through him. Book me through my number. I’ll work on my own.”

Lydia Tholo, Tsekeleke’s sister, expressed gratitude: “Thank you, Dr Malinga. Thank you very, very much. Even though my brother is angry, we appreciate it. He bought us things like micro-wave ovens.

“Where were we going to get those things? Thank you, please continue blessing us. We’ll sleep comfortably now. You’ve been taking care of us here at home. This is not the first time. You always come to fix things.”

Dr Malinga had earlier gifted Tsekeleke's family with new beds as part of an initiative called “100K to Tsekeleke 012”, whose aim is to provide building materials through the Dr Malinga Foundation.

With funds donated by Limpopo businessman Morgan Mohlala, Dr Malinga bought four beds with headboards for the family.
