ZIMSEC Announces 2025 O and A Level Registration Fees
In a notice issued on Tuesday, ZIMSEC confirmed that the government will cover 55% of the exam fees for A Level and O Level candidates attending public schools.
However, candidates in private schools, as well as private candidates in public schools, will need to pay the full exam fees.

This means the 2025 ZIMSEC am fees are as follows:
O-Level exam fees per Subject:
- Public Schools (Formal): US$11.00
- Private Schools & Colleges: US$24.00
- Extra-Territorial Candidates: US$56.00
A-Level exam fees per Subject:
- Public Schools (Formal): US$22.00
- Private Schools & Colleges: US$48.00
- Extra-Territorial Candidates: US$98.00
ZIMSEC Announces 2025 O and A Level Registration Fees
The notice clarified that the government subsidy will apply only to a maximum of seven O Level subjects and four A Level subjects.
Candidates wishing to take additional subjects will pay for the full exam fees for those subjects.
While the exam fees are set in US dollars, ZIMSEC also allows payments in South African Rand or Zimbabwe Gold (ZiG) at the prevailing interbank rate.
For those opting to pay in ZiG for the June exams, payments can be made from March 10 to March 14, 2025. The final registration date for the June 2025 exams is March 14, 2025.
For parents and guardians wishing to pay the exam fees in ZiG for the November 2025 ZIMSEC exams, payments can be made from March 24 to March 28, 2025, with the closing date being March 28, 2025.
