World Food Program Responds To Nick Mangwana’s False Tweet
World Food Vision (WFP) has respondent to Nick Mangwana's tweet after posting a picture of a truck he identified to be that of WFP which was carrying drought relief food for Nembudziya but drowned at Kawongo river.
WFP has denied the allegations that the truck does not belong to them but it was contracted by the government for its own food-deficit mitigation program.
In fact, this is incorrect. This was not a WFP truck, but one contracted by the Government of Zimbabwe for its own food deficit mitigation programme. WFP is on the ground ready to assist and to ensure necessary food aid reaches those in need.
