ZBC reshuffles It’s Executive Management Due To COVID-19

Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC) has reshuffled its executive management due to COVID-19.

The recent changes come when the broadcaster has been immensely affected by the coronavirus after 30 of its workers earlier this week tested positive for the virus and are all currently isolated at home.

 Mr. Alson Mfiri is now the Acting Director of News and Current Affairs and Mfiri was previously the Director for Special Projects.

The former news anchor and Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe spokesperson are taking over from Mr. Gilbert Nyambabvu who is now the Director of Digital Platforms and Innovation.

The changes were made after ZBC has made several changes in executive management in the recent past with some saying it is recycling its workforce, an approach they say has hamstrung transformation efforts.
