Mufakose Thief Caught and Beaten by Angry Residents
Kodza was nabbed by Mufakose residents on Saturday afternoon in possession of several stolen cellphones.

A 24-year-old resident of Mufakose is in trouble after he was caught stealing furniture items and household goods from people's homes. The thief, known in the streets as Kodza, would sell the stolen items to OK Budiriro 5 shops and use the money to buy drugs.

According to eyewitnesses, the suspected thief was nabbed by Mufakose residents on Saturday afternoon in possession of several stolen cellphones. He was then beaten to pulp by the angry mob, who accused him of terrorizing the neighborhood.
One of the residents, Nehamiah Jimo, said he wants the young man to be put in jail for his crimes. He said:
He has been stealing from us for a long time. He has no respect for other people's property. He deserves to be punished by the law. We are tired of his nonsense.

The suspected thief was later handed over to the police, who are investigating the case. The police spokesperson could not be reached for comment at the time of writing.
