In a surprising turn of events, the renowned Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage, has officially lodged a complaint against Davido for threatening to assault her over a picture she shared on Instagram.

In the petition addressed to the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, and dated January 9 2024, Tiwa stated that Davido threatened to “f-ck me up.”
She noted that Davido made a direct threat to her rights to life, privacy and dignity.
The conflict arose when Tiwa Savage posted an Instagram story featuring Sophia Momodu, Davido’s first baby mama.
In her petition, Tiwa expressed her distress over the situation, recounting the events that transpired.
“I am writing to bring to your attention a distressing situation involving myself, Tiwatope Omolara Savage and David Adeleke. On the 23rd of December, I made a post which included myself and Sophia Momodu on my Instagram Story. And MR DAVID ADELEKE messaged my manager who’s also part of his management team that I should never say a word to him and that I was taunting him, uttering very disrespectful, malicious and derogatory words to my person”

According to Tiwa Savage, Davido took offence to her Instagram story and hurled disrespectful and derogatory words at her.
The petition also reveals that he messaged her manager, who is part of his management team, instructing Tiwa Savage not to communicate with him.
“The events of that day have led to a barrage of calls from our mutual connections, asking me what I did to him that he’s upset that I chose to maintain a relationship with his daughter Imade’s mother, Sophia Momodu who he’s having issues with.”
Tiwa Savage requested that if any harm befell her or her family, the Nigerian Police Force should hold Davido accountable.
“I, therefore, would like to make this complaint, and to state that in the event that anything untoward or harmful were to happen to me and member of my family, I will like the Nigerian Police Force to hold MR DAVID ADELEKE responsible”.
