A Plumtree based man was given a permanent injury after he was severely assaulted by three people who damaged his testicle after the attack.
The duo was sentenced to two years in jail and the magistrate conditionally suspended six months.
The matter came to light at Plumtree magistrates courts yesterday where the assailants Mduduzi Nkomo (31) and Vuisile Nkomo (22) appeared before magistrate Joshua Nembaware while their accomplice is still at large.
The court heard that on December 26 last year the trio went to a Business Centre in Plumtree where they met the complainant and asked the whereabouts of one Tapiwa.
The complainant told the trio that he had no idea of his whereabouts and they became violent.
They attacked him with a knobkerie and open hands there by permanently damaging one of his testicles.

The man who hails from Marimbi Village in Seke whose identity has been withheld to protect the minor, was convicted when he appeared before a Chitungwiza Magistrate facing one count of aggravated indecent assault.
In a statement released on Thursday, the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) confirmed the man’s conviction and revealed that he will spend the next 18 years of his life behind bars.
Shedding light on the incident, the NPA explained that on January 7th of this year, the father of the 2-year-old girl caught his brother red-handed inserting his tongue into the minor’s private part.
The accused uncle had been visiting his brother’s residence when this deeply disturbing incident unfolded.
The father promptly reported the matter to the police, who wasted no time in arresting the offender.
When the 27-year-old uncle stood before the Chitungwiza magistrate, he pleaded guilty to the charge of aggravated indecent assault.
The magistrate, in turn, sentenced him to 18 years in prison.
The man will spend an effective 15 years in jail after the judge suspended 3 years on condition of good behaviour.
