In a statement released through his legal representatives, Ras Pompy expressed his deep disappointment and outrage over the newspaper's coverage, which he alleges has caused significant damage to his reputation and personal life.

The musician specifically criticized two articles: a banner titled “RAS POMPY BEDS FRIEND'S MOTHER” and a subsequent story titled “RAS POMPY SUCKED IN ATTEMPTED MURDER CASE…CHANTER IN AFFAIR WITH FRIEND'S MOTHER.” Ras Pompy vehemently denies these allegations, stating that they are completely unfounded and fabricated.

In the statement, Ras Pompy says he is not friends with the Wesley character as they are not of the same age and he has never slept with the said woman.

According to his legal team, the articles have led to a barrage of insults, threats, and unwarranted attacks on Ras Pompy's character. The false claims have also had a negative impact on his professional relationships, including the potential loss of endorsementdeals. He said he has been harassed by unknown people calling him on the matter. He indicated that he is now being ridiculed all over social media.

Ras Pompy's legal representatives have demanded that HMetro immediately remove the defamatory articles from their platforms and issue a public apology. They have also threatened legal action if the newspaper fails to comply with their demands.
