Daughter of legendary musician Oliver Mtukudzi, Selmor broke down during her performance at the inaugural Oliver Mtukudzi International Festival of Arts held in Norton over the weekend.
In a widely circulated video, Selmor who was serenading music fans at the show suddenly stopped and began lamenting how she is being excluded from her late father's family.

She went on to lament that what was happening at the venue Pakare Paye Arts which was founded by her dad was not right. A fellow female artist tried to console her as she narrated her hurt at being sidelined. After giving the emotional speech, Selmor dropped the mic and walked to the back stage.

The organisers of the event who include Oliver Mtukudzi's late wife Daisy who happens to be stepmom to Selmor had initially sidelined her despite the fact that she is the only Mtukudzi offspring who is a known musician.
The OMIFA organisers had only added Selmor in the line-up after facing a backlash and heavy criticism from the public. In an interview, Mtukudzi's surviving spouse was asked why they had snubbed the late artist's daughter and Daisy went on to describe Selmor as a difficult person.
The happenings at OMIFA open a can of worms into the family drama going on behind the scenes. It also shows that Oliver Mtukudzi left a broken family that is struggling to unite.
