In July, the “Ndine Hombe” maestro shocked fans when he cut off his trademark dreadlocks for short hair. He also announced that he would dump Jiti and become a gospel artist.
Baba Harare (now King David) even went to church with his new woman to show his newfound path. After the change, his friends and bandmates complained that he had dumped them, too, insinuating that his new wife forced him to leave the ways of the world and follow the Lord.
To prove that he was born again, Baba Harare (now King David) dropped a gospel album, “Repentance”. He will release another body of work, My “Testimony”, on 5 October.
