Sources told ZimLive they suspect Maburisa may have died from diabetic shock.

Witnesses at the scene described Maburisa appearing at the reception area shortly before his death, pleading, “Get me food, please,” an apparent attempt to address what might have been hypoglycemia or low blood glucose.
In response, hotel staff provided him with porridge, the only available food at the time.
Maburisa returned to his room but reportedly began twitching and convulsing soon after, showing symptoms similar to an epileptic episode before he passed away.
Authorities who responded to the scene discovered diabetes medication in Maburisa’s room, which may indicate the driver was managing a chronic condition.
