A cop handed over his son, who was wanted for a spate of ATM bombings in Limpopo, to the police.

Dad Hands Over Son Who Was Wanted for ATM Bombings

When police responded to the scene, a shootout ensued, and the suspects fled in a sedan.

The police gave chase until the driver lost control near Sephukubje village and all occupants fled into nearby bushes.

A case was opened, and through extensive investigation, the suspects were identified, and a search for the suspects was conducted in Ekurhuleni in Gauteng.

Mashaba added that when the father of the suspect, a Gauteng-based police officer, learnt that the authorities were seeking his son, he handed him over to the Limpopo investigation team.

The suspect will appear before the Senwamokgope Periodical Court today on charges of malicious property damage, attempted murder and reckless and negligent driving.

The police said they have launched a manhunt for the suspect's accomplices.
