She claimed that upon her arrest, she struck a deal with South Africa’s National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) to become a state witness, which allowed her to secure bail.
“I didn’t run from SA from the court,” she said.
Malloti confirmed her involvement in a casino robbery but refused to disclose the amount of money stolen. She mentioned that 16 people were involved in the heist.
“We robbed a casino but I don’t want to talk about that. Yanga yakawanda mari ende tanga takawanda,” she told DJ Ollah 7.
Despite being on bail, Malloti said she chose not to return to court to testify as a state witness.
Malloti revealed that she fled South Africa by crossing the border illegally. She later returned to South Africa in 2022 for three months, again entering the country illegally.
