Civil Servants Call On Government To Pay Salaries In USD

Civil servants have made a new call for the Government to pay their salaries in United States dollars. 

Zimbabwe Teachers Association secretary-general Tapson Sibanda said paying teachers and other civil servants in US dollars was now the only solution as the Zimbabwe dollar had become an insult. 

Amalgamated Rural Teachers Union of Zimbabwe president Obert Masaraure said the Government should pay US$520 salaries that teachers used to earn in 2018. 

The unions say they would not go back to work if their salaries are not reviewed.
