Baba Harare Dumped Friends & Bandmates for New Wife
Baba Harare reportedly dumped his friends, band mates and popular Jiti genre just to accommodate his new wife following his secret wedding.
In June, Baba Harare startled fans and onlookers when he abruptly cut his long dreadlocks, opting for a clean haircut. It was not long before he admitted that he had given his life to Christ. He reiterated that he was also making an about-turn and dumping Jiti music, associated with frightening masquerades known as zvigure.
The genre attracted fans to him, and he eventually shook off bitter accusations of copying Jah Prayzah, his former 3rd Generation Band boss. Baba Harare released a new Gospel album, Repentance, on Monday, 22 July.
Baba Harare went to the City of Truth Church, where he had an unknown fair skinned woman next to him. After Sunday’s church service, Baba Harare went to Star FM’s uplifting show, Gospel Greats, and opened up:

Baba Harare Dumped Friends & Bandmates for New Wife
In 2021, Baba Harare paid Lobola for a Nash TV and Christ TV presenter, Nomagugu Ncube. He is yet to shed light on what happened to the marriage.
Baba Harare allegedly had a secret wedding recently, and he handpicked a few guests. This was easy because he had also ghosted his friends and close associates. There was loud music at his wedding because he fired his bandmates, too.
Baba Harare Turns From Jiti to Gospel Music
Baba Harare’s old gang member divulged everything with zero filters:
“The truth is that Baba Harare was influenced by his lover to dump his genre so that he settles with her. They married secretly and wedded recently where they strictly invited a few friends and close family members. Everything was kept under wraps and a well-known Harare marriage officer officiated the event. Takesure Zamar was the best man during the wedding. There is no turning back for him, he says; he received Jesus as his personal saviour and is now leading a new life with his partner, who is also of a Christian background.”
