Man attempts suicide after killing his entire family

Innocent Chakabuda from Wedza killed his entire family and tried to commit suicide by drinking tobacco pesticide this week.

The 29-year-old is said to have impregnated another woman in his neighborhood of Fels Farm in Wedza which starred up an argument between him and his wife juniour Dzonga aged 20.

Chakabuda murdered his wife and their two kids, Vongai aged 3 and their one-month-old baby with an axe after the wife threatened to leave.

The suspect is now under police custody at Mt St Mary's Hospital where he is receiving treatment after Chakabuda's mother who had rushed to the crime scene just after the incident reported the matter to the police.

Tendai Mwanza, Mashonaland East provincial police spokesperson commented on this incident giving advice to the public on marital issues which should be solved peacefully rather than to use violent means.

” Society should learn to settle misunderstandings in a more civilised manner  because now we have sadly lost three lives”
