Harare policeman charged with murder gets warrant of arrest

A 27-year-old Harare man, Nigel Jalasi was issued with a warrant of arrest after it was established that he failed to report to the police as stipulated in his bail conditions as he was charged with murder after rapping and stabbing his stepdaughter with a scissors.

Jalasi, policeman stationed at Braeside Police Station was granted bail at the High Court and ordered to report at ZRP Marimba once every Friday but failed to comply.

The court heard that Jalasi never reported to the police to sign the Persons Reporting to Police’ document from the time he was granted bail.

The warrant of arrest was issued after the investigating officer Anele Mkandla submitted evidence to the court showing that Jalasi was not following court orders.
