EcoCash Suspends Agent Lines in Line with RBZ Directive
Econet has suspended Agent lines in line with the RBZ directive issued yesterday.Â
According to some Agents, the lines had Cash-in functionality suspended at midnight. If they try to cash-in is they get a message saying;
Please note this service is currently suspended.
However, it seems Agents are only able to perform Agent-to-Agent transactions i.e they can only send money to another agent.
The crippling of the Agent lines has caught a number of money changers unaware as they were using EcoCash to pay for USD collected in the streets.
