New Twist On The 210 Helmets Saga
The 210 helmets saga which had been circulating on social media yesterday has taken a new turn as the owner of the helmets which had been found by ZRP at Robinson House has been released after a 5-hour meeting with the police.
In their investigations, ZRP found out that the 210 helmets belonged to a Harare businessman Michael Chibwe who had allegedly bought the helmets from ABC auctions with the intention of starting his own security company.
The owner was not charged for any offense as he had obtained the helmets legally with good intentions after the police had seized MDC headquarters along Nelson Mandela Avenue over the matter or suspicion that the helmets belonged to the party who had a demonstration planned for Monday.
