Pic : Mutare Highway Bus Accident
Pictures of the Mutare highway bus accident that we thought we should share. The bus collided with a truck carrying timber and from what we gathered, almost 50 people are feared dead.
We are not yet sure as to what caused the accident but a look at the pictures and videos will show you that the impact must have been a big one. Meaning someone was over speeding.
As mentioned above about the impact, one look at that truck after the accident will tell you that it must have hit the bus at a high speed. Both the truck and the bus seem to have been totally crushed on impact hence the high number of deaths.
No one is really sure as to what transpired with some suggesting the bus driver was trying to overtake a vehicle and then was hit by the truck. We will keep updating you on the matter when more information becomes available.
This already means 2020 has started on a bad note if we also consider the flooding in Hwange and the many accidents that we keep seeing along the Harare Beitbridge road. We encourage all those in the transport sector, motorists included, to exercise caution on the roads and avoid unnecessary speeding.
