Business Areas You Need To Consider in Zimbabwe in 2020 (part3)
Pharmaceutical Supplies Business
Business Overview
Let's pause for a second and imagine what the future of pharma business is going to be in the nearby future.
How is the digitalization of medical records and administration in Zimbabwe going to impact the industry?
How is technology going to impact the industry?
In this post, I'm going to focus on B2B that is supplies of medicines, medical care facilities, Pharmacies and retailers.
If you are an existing or a new supplier of medicals in 2020 you need to take advantage of the digital space if you need your business to knock on every corner on a national scale feasibly.
You will need to have a mobile app that links you to all Pharmacies, retailers and medical care facilities, the mobile app should be able to do the following:
– Allow Pharmacies to place orders
– generate invoices
– make payments to your account
– gives you notification of the recurring orders
– Interact with the retailers
– send promotional messages
– tracking of consignment
How to make money through the app:
Business is a game of numbers. As of 2014, it was reported that Zimbabwe had 1350 primary health care centres, 189 hospitals, 600 Pharmacies of which 387 were registered by the PSZ.
Therefore, as a supplier, if you are to be engaged by let's say 200 institutions and supplying an average of $8 000 worth of medical supplies a month through your mobile app that will fetch you approximately $1.6mil in a month which is about $64k United States Dollars…..which is not bad.

– Have a registered company
– you need an e-commerce website (you can have one developed by taydigital.net
– you need a mobile app developed for you

This simple business model can be used for any other business be it vehicle parts, clothing.
