President Emmerson Mnangagwa shocked people when he revealed that he held a competition to reward the first family that would put a body in his mortuary.

The mortuary was constructed in Mbizo, Kwekwe and could accommodate 12 bodies. Mnangagwa made the remarks in Gutu last week where he was officially opening the mortuary built by Zimplats for Gutu Hospital.

Mnangagwa said the prize was won by a family that had failed to get space for their body at the Kwekwe General Hospital. Mnangagwa was so impressed by the state of art mortuary and credited Mines Minister for it.
