Nyaradzo Funeral Services Increases Funeral Assurance Rates
Nyaradzo Funeral Company says it is postponing a planned increase in premiums that was supposed to come into effect on 1 May 2020, until further notice.
In a statement, the company said the decision was made in view of the financial vulnerabilities facing its clients that have been triggered by the coronavirus pandemic.
The statement read:
As part of measures to complement Government efforts to contain the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic across the whole country and the financial vulnerabilities this pandemic has caused on our clients, Nyaradzo Life Assurance Company would like to advise our valued clients that the implementation of the premium adjustment scheduled for 1 May 2020 has been deferred until further notice. We thank you for your continued support.
The company recently announced that it was suspending some of its services due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus.
Services including removal of bodies from homes and bus service for mourners were among those affected.
