The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has enforced restrictive measures to ensure compliance with the lockdown regulations and curb movement of both pedestrians and vehicle owners.

National Police Spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi warned motorists that only those exempted under Statutory Instrument 83 of 2020 will be spared.
Zimbabweans have been condoned off the CBD's and other informal markets through the national lockdown in a bid to enforce social distancing among citizens.
Zimbabwe has 11 confirmed cases of Coronavirus and 3 deaths so far but there has been a rapid growth of traffic in major cities in Zimbabwe.
Citizens have not been complying with the lockdown regulations imposed by the government.
