South African Government Announce Alcohol Time Table
The South African government has announced the timetable for the sale of alcohol in the country as the nation enters level 3 of COVID-19 lockdown starting 1 June.
The announcement was made by South Africa’s Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs Nkosazana Clarice Dlamini-Zuma telling the nation that the sale of liquor will resume from Monday to Thursday between 09:00 and 17:00.
EFF Commander-In-Chief Julius Sello Malema addressed a press briefing earlier on Thursday saying the party will take a political campaign to fight the decision of allowing the sale of alcohol.
Malema said alcohol is destructive and is responsible for the destruction of families, contributes to unprotected s.e.x, and the spread of diseases and domestic violence.
