Kombies Operating Freely Despite Ban

Dozens of commuter omnibuses (kombis) are operating on the Chitungwiza – Machipisa route despite a government ban on kombis operating outside the Zupco franchise.

Inlight of covid-19 measures to curb the spread of covid-19 the government banned these private operators.

Zimtrending news correspondent noted that desperate travelers board the kombis as the few Zupco buses can not accommodate growing transport needs.The kombis are operating besides heavy police presence at Manyame Bridge and Mbudzi Roundabout.

Police warned these private commuters of operating without approval.
