Govt Relaxes Lockdown Restrictions: Churches Now Allowed 100 People Per Service
The government has announced that 100 people can now gather while still adhering to COVID-19 containment measures.
This was revealed by the ministry of information in a tweet that revealed the gathering review:
#PostCabinetBriefing Cabinet has revised upwards the gatherings for Churches from 50 to 100. Churches must ensure that congregants continue to observe COVID-19 containment measures by enforcing the compulsory and proper wearing of masks, social distancing and washing of hands
The same briefing also announced that metered taxis and driving schools must also resume work:
#PostCabinetBriefing Cabinet has approved that the Traffic Safety Council of Zimbabwe and Driving Schools should resume services to enable the issuance of Defensive Driving Certificates and other services to Public Service Drivers and metered taxis.
The President said he will announce more lockdown restrictions relaxations before the week ends. Zimbabweans are expecting that the government will open some borders to allow them to resume trading and other activities.
