Chamvary Leaves Power FM
Popular radio and television presenter Chamvary has left Power FM after spending over ten years at the station.
Chamvary whose real name is Rumbidzayi Mugwira, confirmed on Monday that she is no longer with Power FM. Chamvary joined Power FM in 2012 on the 629.com Breakfast Show and recently won the outstanding journalist – radio NAMA Award
DJ Chamvary was hosting the lunchtime radio show from 12:00- 3:00 pm which has the popular interview program “Centre Stage” at the time of her resignation.
In a farewell message on Monday, Chamvary dismissed rumours that she resigned because she is heading for the United Kingdom. She hinted that she will still be in the media industry after saying she will meet her now former Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC) workmates in the streets.
After 10 years, 1 month and 8 days of working for the amazing @powerfmzimbabwe I bade farewell on Friday 12 August 2022 to the station that moulded me to be the broadcaster I am today. A national award + such deep experience that could never be bought are just 2 of the highlights from my time at Power. All the calls and messages that I got from my beloved coworkers over the weekend showed me how much of a family (not only team) we were. Good thing tichasangana hedu muma streets – I love them all.
Thank you to all the Rockers who tuned in to all my shows and enjoyed them… The next chapter is LOADING!! The vibe shall forever be maintained because #TASIMBISWA

Chamvary has however kept mum about her next career move. At the time of publishing, Power FM had acquired the services of Craigy T to present the lunchtime show.
