Sungura show flops

A sums up of the just-ended sungura gig held at the Harare International Conference Centre on Saturday.

Highly esteemed and estimated big returns “Sungura Blast” gig turned out to be a big flop after it attracted a small crowd.

With a perfect line-up led by superstar Alick Macheso, the poor turnout exposed the promoters’ shortcomings.

In spite of the good management which included, the good stage set-up, perfect sound, and superb lighting, the poor attendance was the talking point stolen as the auditorium was almost empty.

To say the event was a flop would be an understatement.
It was also evident the event organizers didn’t market their event well to perfection.

With Macheso, Mark Ngwazi, Madzibaba Nicholas Zakaria, Baba Harare, Suluman Chimbetu, Audinance Kuimba, and Shantel Sithole completing the line-up people expected fireworks only if a serious promoter would have made proper marketing of the event.
