Harare City Closes Roads for Pipeline Repairs
The chamber at the Corner of Herbert Chitepo and Harare street will necessitate a road closure therefore motorists are to use alternative routes.
Harare City Council (HCC) has announced the closure of some roads to pave way for pipeline (trunk mains) repairs at the corner of Herbert Chitepo and Harare Street.
In a notice, the local government authority said the repairs will start on Friday the 10th of March to the 13th of March. Reads the notice:
NOTICE OF PLANNED MAJOR REPAIRS ON TRUNK MAINS AND THE PROPOSED ROAD CLOSURE TO ALLOW FOR THE WORKS (Corner Herbert Chitepo and Harare street).
The City of Harare would like to advise its valued stakeholders that there shall be major pipeline repairs on inter-connectors to Lochinvar, at Golden Quarry, the chamber at Longchen and Corner Herbert Chitepo and Harare street.
The affected areas will be: The CBD, Marlborough, Westgate, Avenues, Parirenyatwa Hospital, Milton Park, Malbereign, Tynwald, Warren Park, Westlea, DZ, Avondale, Mt Pleasant and all other surrounding northern suburbs. The works are scheduled to start at 1800hrs on Friday the 10th of March, till 0600hrs on the 13th of March 2023.
