Ramaphosa Deploys Riot Police, Students Arrested

In solidarity with the fighting students and youths of South Africa

Zimbabwean political activist Makomborero Haruzuvishe has tweeted in solidarity with the students. “Corruption and #PoliceBrutality are crimes against Africans.”

The EFF which are spearheading the National Shutdown have issued a statement condemning the heavy handedness by the police, “No business was looted, no violence has been committed by protestors in Braammfontein. The police are violating the right to protest in defence of Cyril Ramaphosa!”

Actress Pearl Thusi has come in support of the protestors, ” You know- Cyril Ramaphosa doesn’t care about the people- more especially the youth of South Africa. He’s literally lead this country into the darkness. With the port plunging into an abyss of unemployment and hopelessness. Some children are even learning in the darkness.”
