CELEBRATED Zimbabwe Power Company (ZPC) Kariba Football Club player, Mhango Winston Mutulasoni has appeared in court following his arrest for possession of an assortment of illegal drugs and substances.
The 35-year-old athlete popularly known as “Bagga” was arraigned before a Kariba magistrate who remanded him in custody to May 15.
The State alleges that on May 1 this year, detectives from Criminal Investigations Department (CID) Kariba acted on a tip off and proceeded to the footballer’s place of residence.
Upon arrival the detectives searched the house and discovered dangerous drugs and banned substances. These included approximately
- 4,7 kilogrammes of dagga,
- 11 bottles x 100ml Benylin with Codeine cough syrup,
- 1 bottle x 100ml BronCleer.
Court heard the recovery of stashed illicit substances led to Mutulasoni’s arrest on suspicion of unlawfully dealing in dangerous drugs.
