Mudenda Blocks Parly from Investigating Al Jazeera Exposé
Mr Mudenda said that both the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission, ZACC and the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe, RBZ had already started investigations on the matter.
Speaker of the Zimbabwean Parliament, Jacob Mudenda has stopped Parliament of Zimbabwe from investigating the Al-Jazeera, GoldMafia criminal and corruption exposé.
The four documentary films were produced by Al-Jazeera’s Investigations Unit. In the letter dated 12th May 2023, Mr Mudenda said that both the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission, ZACC and the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe, RBZ had already started investigations on the matter.
Advocate Mudenda added that some of the matters are of a complex nature and may require extraterritorial visits due to the alleged involvement of foreign nationals.
