Zimpapers Group Announce Stinging Cost Cutting Measures
Data has been cut by 75% and all job promotions have been frozen.
Zimbabwe’s biggest newspaper group, Zimpapers has announced stinging cost cutting measures to its employees.
The print media house which is a propaganda arm of the Zimbabwean regime have had many cuts including for data and all promotions have been frozen.
See memo sent to them below;
“Outcome of the Feedback Meeting.
1. Subs and travel allowance will now only paid for the First Day. The company will thereafter pay direct to the hotel/lodge for any other days beyond one.
2. Tight controls on telephones are now in place. Telephone Bill has been cut by 50%. Anyone found abusing phones will be taken for disciplinary hearing.
3. Salaries now being paid in batches.
4. Motor vehicle repairs will now need to be approved.
4. Communication will now be done on emails to save paper/ stationery.
5. Monthly canteen tickets to be issued for everyone with payslips.
6. Data has been cut by 75 % with effect from June 1.
7. Employment, promotions has been frozen with immediate effect.
8. No more out of pocket allowances for fully sponsored foreign trips.”
