American rapper DaBaby has confirmed that he will be performing in Zimbabwe on 23 September 2023.

The show is hosted by Roar Entertainment which brought Rick Ross last year.

The concert is also powered by ZANU PF Mabvuku candidate Scott Sakupwanya and Mike Chimombe.

In an earlier Facebook post by EarGROUND, DaBaby might be setting the stage alight in Zimbabwe later this year. The news site posted:

Unconfirmed word on the ground suggests that American Rapper DaBaby is coming to Zimbabwe this summer. We will keep you posted.

DaBaby has not confirmed or denied the rumours of his Zimbabwean show yet. If true, it would be his first time performing in Africa and a rare opportunity for his fans in Zimbabwe to see him live.

DaBaby born Jonathan Lyndale Kirk is one of the most successful new artists the hip-hop scene in recent years.

He has released four studio albums, including “Kirk” and “Blame It On Baby”, which both debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart.

He has also collaborated with stars such as Post Malone, Megan Thee Stallion, Dua Lipa, Roddy Ricch and YoungBoy Never Broke Again.

Fast forward to 8 April 2024, and DaBaby still hasn't shown up in Zimbabwe. The DaBabby concert was cancelled.

Scott Sakupwanya who was angling for the Mabvuku-Tafara parliamentary seat, was clobbered by Citizens Coalition for Change, CCC's Kufahakutizwe.

Scott only managed to enter parly in 2024 after a series of shenanigans and illegalities involving an CCC imposter Secretary General in the name of Sengezo Tshabangu.
