Sangoma Demanding Woman’s Son for Rituals

A woman has reached out on social media in regret of enlisting a sangoma to boost her business. The sangoma is now demanding that she sacrifice the life of her son who is a successful doctor.

Taking to social media, she claims that her two friends already sacrificed their children and now it is her turn but she is not willing to do that.

Below is her message:

I’m a woman aged 46. In 2017 my two friends and I went to Malawi to visit a sangoma to help our businesses grow because we were struggling as single mothers. The sangoma told us he’ll help us on condition that we send him our children one by one every three years.

When we run out of children we’ll jump to grandchildren then siblings. My friends and I agreed. She said she’ll give us a muthi and we’ll feed a child we are giving to her and within 10 days something will happen.

My friend was the first in 2017 – she fed her child that muthi and the child was involved in a car accident within a week. My second friend did her in 2020 – her child fell at school and passed on 5 days later.

Our businesses are doing very well. It’s 2023 now and my turn to send my child. He is my only child and doing very well. He graduated as a doctor overseas and things are looking well for him. He’s married with one beautiful kid.

I do not want to give him up. I told the ladies that I want out but they are threatening me. The sangoma is giving me until December this year to deliver or hell will break loose. I’ve tried visiting other sangomas and prophets but none seems to help.

They said I signed I lifetime contract. I want to know if there’s someone who knows how I can free myself from this ritual stockvel. I want to save my child. Even if it means I become poor or die it’s fine. I did what I did out of desperation and I regret it.
