Woman Murders Two Lovers & Her Son
In a heartbreaking case, Pamela Ncumisa Selani (47) has been sentenced to three life terms for the murders of her two lovers, Micheal Changisa and Gift, both from Malawi, as well as her own son, Avile Jonjwana. The Pretoria High Court handed down this severe punishment, leaving many stunned.

In 2016, Selani discovered that Changisa had infected her with HIV. Fueled by anger and betrayal, she turned to her other boyfriend, Gift, for help. Gift, hiding in the bathroom of Selani's home, waited for Changisa to fall asleep. When the moment came, Gift struck Changisa repeatedly with a hammer, right in front of Selani's two young children. The tragic incident ended Changisa's life, and Selani and Gift buried him in her yard. Gift then moved in with Selani.
But the tale doesn't end there. A year later, Selani and her 17-year-old son, Avile, conspired to kill Gift. Gift had become abusive, and the pair decided to take matters into their own hands. They poisoned Gift and submerged his head in water until he breathed his last breath. Gift's body was laid to rest in a shallow grave, disturbingly close to Changisa's remains.

Avile, struggling with drug addiction, attempted to extort his mother. He threatened to report the murders to the police, forcing Selani and her younger child to flee their home. Seeking refuge with her third boyfriend, they hid in his house in the same area. But Avile's desperation caught up with him. Selani and her younger son returned home, lying in wait for Avile. In a chilling confrontation, they ambushed and killed him.
The truth eventually surfaced when Selani took her 14-year-old son to a traditional healer in August 2020. During the consultation, the young boy revealed the horrifying details of the murders.
The healer, acting swiftly, contacted a community leader, who promptly reported the matter to the police. Selani and her son were arrested that very day. Although the charges against the son were later dropped, he became a crucial state witness in this tragic saga.
Justice has been served, but the pain and loss remain. This case serves as a stark reminder of the consequences of violence and betrayal within relationships. Let us hope that healing and understanding prevail in the aftermath of such heart-wrenching events.
