Secretary for Information and Broadcasting Services, Mr Nick Mangwana has revealed the real reason why Tiffany Haddish was in Zimbabwe.
He explained that she was in the country to shoot her film, emphasizing that this was a significant achievement for Zimbabwe.
He revealed that Zimbabwe had been in competition with South Africa to host her film set and ultimately won the bid. Mangwana emphasized that this victory was a major positive for Zimbabwe.
“Tiffany came to Zimbabwe to shoot her film here, that is already a massive positive, because we were competing with SA to host her set and we won that bid.”
Mangwana expressed satisfaction with Tiffany’s decision to shoot her film in Zimbabwe, noting the importance of re-establishing the country as a prime location for international film productions.
Real Reason Why Tiffany Haddish Was in Zimbabwe
“For that, we are happy because we need to re-establish Zimbabwe as an international film set as we once were when films like King Solomon’s Mines were shot in our country.”
During her stay, she visited Victoria Falls. She shared a couple of pictures of herself posing by the majestic falls. Tiffany also went dancing at Harare’s most popular nightclub, Pabloz.
However, Haddish’s visit was not without controversy. Her reaction in a video at TM Pick n Pay, where she expressed surprise that Zimbabwe has a ‘grocery store,’ ignited outrage among Zimbabweans, South Africans, and Nigerians.
