Eastlea Man Stabs Cheating Girlfriend and Her Lover
Harare – A man lost it after he found his girlfriend sleeping with another man in his house. He stabbed them both.
Blessing Matsvai (29) is now facing attempted murder charges when he appeared before Harare magistrate Mrs Apollonia Marutya. He was remanded in custody to today for pre-recording.
The court heard that on August 4 at House Number 28 Rayham Street, Eastlea, Harare, Linda Moyo was fast asleep in the company of Takunda Chitope, when Matsvai entered the house.
He then stabbed Moyo with a kitchen knife once between the left collar bones and went on to stab Chitope once between the right collar bone and once below the right ear before disappearing.
A formal police report was then made and Matsvai was arrested and detained.
Moyo was medically treated and a medical report compiled, which indicated that she sustained a deep cut between left collar bones due to the assault.
The State may produce, as exhibit, a medical report and a knife used to stab Moyo.
Meanwhile, a Chiredzi man has been arrested after he went behind his stepmother’s back and applied for the late father’s death certificate.

Jestina Gwandongwe alleged the plan of the stepson Caspel Svinurai (45) was to exclude her two children from their father’s estate.
The matter is before Magistrate Vimbai Mutukwa.
Svinurai denies ever making the application. He however, also denied in court that his father was married to Gwandongwe. He says his father Matthew John Svinurai told him that Gwandongwe left to remarry another man.
Gwandongwe filed a Police report after she was asked to come and collect the death certificate from the offices of the registrar in Chiredzi.
She got concerned when she realised that her husband’s death certificate gave his marital status as a widower.

The State said that on October 17, 2023, Svinurai went to the Registrar’s offices and applied for the death certificate of his father and gave wrong information stating that his late father was not married and his wife was no more.
