In what can be described as unexpected workplace drama, an unpaid security guard painted a tortoise and dumped it at her former workplace in an attempt to scare her employer.

Sithembiso Budzirikawa, has now been dragged to court charged for violating the Parks and Wildlife Act by removing the animal from its natural habitat.
Budzirikawa was employed by the company from April to August last year. The court heard that Budzirikawa removed a live tortoise from Chabwino farm, Goromonzi, and moved with it to Harare without a permit, in contravention of the law.
Meanwhile, in sad news, an 11-year-old girl has become the sole caregiver and breadwinner for her paralysed father in Chimanimani after her mother fled the home.

The young girl, Patience Mukute, dropped out of school to look after her father who had a stroke.
When the media crew visited their homestead in Mandima Village under Chief Mutambara recently, the situation was heart-wrenching as, both the father and minor could barely walk ā the former due to the stroke that paralysed him, and the latter to some fire burns.

She cooks, fetches water and firewood, baths, and acts as her fatherās interpreter. Patience is also appealing for donations such as school fees, uniforms, shoes, clothing, toiletries, food and medication for her ailing father to alleviate their suffering, and allow her to return to school and reclaim her childhood.
